Annum's End

So much have I been through this year. I can't say that I've made good or bad choices, sometimes things don't turn out well and setbacks are aplenty. Going through this year both physically and psychologically, Its nothing I'd expect. Frankly, the challenges that have been laid before me seems..... Stirring.

Situations can sometimes rear its ugly head once you've unlocked its secrets. And too often I've seen the vile outcome of the event. Its the ones that makes you think that you've made the 'wrong' choices or decisions no matter how you yourself believe that its "All for the best" and I fear that if this conundrum keeps surfacing, relationships might be tainted, if not scarred.

On the psychological part, the feelings of 'self-remorse' and 'outcast' began to seep in again. In the aftermath of my recent episode that got most of my colleagues stained, I found myself detached from them again and I can't deny the mistakes Ive done so far to cause blame to anyone. I am responsible for my own actions, but when bygones cant be bygones then its goin to stick with me forever. As of now, I can't think of any other actions to justify my own cause. I feel that it will be another disaster waiting to happen.

Wet winter...

Its dat time again... no no im tn talkin abt christmas or whateva holiday season dis is. Rainy season kicks back in wif full force (as usual) i take it if our earth dips 45 deg in angle we might just have snowy weather here. 2 least we wont be wet but think of all da fun we cn have in dat white landscape!!!! (e.g, snowboarding, skiing, snowmobiles and Ice skating!!!)

speaking of landscapes, I had just return frm my trip to Dhaka (Bangladesh, btw) for a change in scenery. Cleared all my leave for two wks for this trip. hahahahahaha.

Dun expect much from this 3rd-world country. If u crave n live for the highlife or luxury, you wld wanna give dis place a miss coz @ 4 stars thats thier leel of luxury dey have there. And mind you, they're nt poor either. They've got tons of resources to rely on. Put it dis way, if MM LKY we to revamp dat nation into ours, they're gonna be as gd as we are. Once again, another country ventured n 10% of the world explored. Not a massive achievement but its a start, 90% is just a number.

what I've been waiting for all this time. The all new Terminal 3 opens to public ( actual opening date is 9/1/08 nx yr..) showcasing the spick n span of the interiors... I tell ya, Im head over heels when I stepped off the skytrain..

Its been 1 week later and the celebrations are as HOT as sambal goreng.... HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Stil in 'Raya' mode la :D

Ironically, dis yr's festivities are'nt as joyful as da previous yrs. Coz most of my frenz are occupied serving da nation, like me. So dis yr I did'nt plan anything fancy. just go wif whoever wanted-to-go-outing scheme.

Den again, dis yr's a little different, coz im goin out wif my PRI SKOOL FRENZ!!!! yay!! its been a loooong time and wat better time for a class reunion!!!

burnout

Another streak in e day's job. Yes people, im on a bunout. again. CEPP during e sch hols means all e uniformd grps r on their usual 'workshops'. Any school kid wld noe abt dis.

I tell ya, if u tink handling adults is bad enuff, wait till u try n control kids, younger than you. Its crazy, often @ times u feel helpless wif these uniformed armies. Well, its all gonna b over soon. :D

the last three weeks of activity has cost me my weekends. Just like a job, sometimes u have to give up your precious days to "serve" like any other NSF.

Dis "transitional" phase of bordom to busy is startin to wrap me again like aluminium foil.
Been doin CEPP almost e whole of last week. N dis upcomin CEPP will b e same. No, no I aint complainin'... I LOVE MUY JOB!!! besides, meeting new (and old) people cant b dat boring... :D

Right now all dis means more off days!!!! *grinz* n I've onli spend like, 1 day?? OMG, D!!!! u still gt loads more which hav been approved!! ape lagi ko tunggu? go on clear ur leave!! dun waste a good opportunity for FREEDOM!!!

Cut short

Well... dats hw I'd describe e day. Seriously boring seh my CEPP session was cancelled, again. stuck @ 1st div stn. One of e PAB guy, Dutch (Von Dutch, Dutch lady....wtf....hehehehehehe) told me @ e last min...ah great.

L8r dat afternoon, went back to camp to get back by psp, (left it behind @ office y'dae....absent- minded me) called up my ma'am to request 1/2 day off n she gave e green light (YAY!) and I scoot off ASAP. Wld'nt it b nice if its like dis all e time?? ya right... only catch is dat I gotta EARN e off daes tho'....

can't wait 4 dis sat, fireworks festival's in town again!!!... which means Im gonna b playin' paparrazi!!!! :D

YESTERDAY.....

Had dis urge to stay behind after werk. Dunno wat came over me, of course if it was'nt for yanto who asked whether to stay in wif osman n yahya. and all bcoz wayne jr had SWIFT duty last nite.

Come to think of it, its kinda fun being away frm home once a while. Ironically, during recruit time all I cld think of was home!!! hahaha!!

So all we do was to watch "Freedom Writers" n "No 23" 2 e spacious CPR room. Nt exactly Gold class seating but u get e idea.

TODAY....

As normal, routine lessons according to allocations. 2dae 25th ERS doin CPR. Me teaching baby cpr methods followed by theory n practical. as usual, half of e lot started dozing off. lucky 4 dem dey managed to pull it through.

A "strappy" situation

Later dat afternoon, went out to 4th div for CEPP. Finally going solo, frm dis mth onwards. Arrived damn early (b dere b4 3 but came arnd 1:45) see? kilat somemore lah... gotta wait 2 damn hrs in e freezing PAB office. fell asleep most of e time. (even now) Gotta keep awake when e shatec peepz drop by. When its time to start e session, Horrors of horrors, NO PPT SLIDES!!! (coz e lecture rm keyz ran off wif some1) n had to settle on CPR rm instead. So I improvised my first aid lesson wif all e knowledge I had ( even tho' it was a bit aimless @ one one point) but everyone enjoyed e fun-filled session so I called it a day.

Juz like any other typical sunday, @ home lazing arnd doin lil' house chores here and there (even though u noe its gonna b messy again ...) surf net n psp-ing (damn xmen game keeps hangin' every time .... Jimmy!! wherez dat call?!?!)

Got a call arnd noon and I thought who da heck wanna disturb me on a sunday. As usual when askin mon sibling who's e caller, his ans is juz ur typical alien gesture + dead silence
(NOTE: muz.find.reliable.receptionist.) for da nxt 2 hrs I kept on tinkin who'd call me.

Da answer came ringin' on my phone. Well2, if it isn't Mr I-had-an-accident-last-wk saleh. e chap got himself n his camp buddy MC-ed for a wk thnks to dat expressway mishap. Nw if u ask me who's in e wrong, I'd blame e taxi driver who keeps on e-braking on a rainy day during a traffic jam. Dats by left anyway. But on dat dae he didn't really stick to e 3-4 car length rule, so all of this was a recipe for disaster.

lucky for him, he did'nt "trade paint" wif e cab otherwise dis wld've been a diff episode.


So he asked me whether I cld accompany him to TTSH fo 'extend' his mc. chow keng. Dis e phone conversation:


*Saleh*: "Di, wanna follow me go TTSH?"
*me*: "For?"
*Saleh*: "go extend my MC la"
*me*: "ko nye luka masih sakit2 lagi??"
*Saleh*: "its healing ah, but it still pain wen I move my hands"
*me*: "u CAN walk rite?"
*Saleh*: "of course, I juz wan 1 mre wk..."
*me*: "tau nk keng je kau nie.."
*Saleh*: "eh, da sakit, pe nk buat??"
*me*: "hmmm..."


3:45pm. TTSH main lobby.

walked round e area trying to find e medical ctr. Mind u, dere's nt juz 1 med ctr there but I counted more den 4 or 5 Ctrs for special cases. Dammit wheres ur med ctr saleh?? Told me its @ e A&E. WTF?! dat place is onli for on-dat-dae emergencies onli!!
We waited for quite a while until his "accident" buddy came down looking for mc extension also.

Great. more ex casualties. go handle dem Hadi, its ur job aniwae. Asked e info counter where e med ctr was and den I realised it was sitting CONVENIENTLY beside an atm machine, STARBUCKS n kopitiam across e hall which e both of us went in for chicken rice earlier. Fuck u di, its juz 6ft in front of ya!!
Amazingly, we're e only customers arnd dat time. Good. less patients=more enjoyment time.

Kinda lost our route arnd newton circus. member confident sey: "At newton circus i noe where to go oredi" Me: "beb, u juz missed scotts rd..." oopz. spoke too soon. ahakz.

eventually, we found a connecting rd to scotts n made our wae to PS. There, he picked up his phone, went last-min shoppin 4 camp stuff n had to scoot off ASAP. Recruits. go figure.

Me on the other hand, left alone (again) wondering wat cld fill up e last 3 hrs of e wkend. So i made my wae to GV upstairs to see if dere's any gd shows arnd. da gang's watching 'alone' dis wed. cant wait 4 dat. most ppl are watching simpsons movie right abt nw. (biler aku nk tengok??) In e end, I caught e horror flick: Rise: Bloodhunter

Arrived @ 3rd div stn abt 5 mins b4 8:30. whew. made it juz in time. tot I was late for a moment. At e guardhse I told e guyz dat im conductin a lesson 2dae. Guess wat, NONE of dem knew e daes events.
Oh sure, thnks ah eh, u juz made my dae *grumblez*
and I had to wait while dey called e PAB guys. On e wae dey said (more wait) *haizz*

Den a wif a slight miracle, e senior oraganizer drove in. "arrh thnk god hez here!!" @ least Im nt alone. da PAB guys dropped in arnd 9:30. so much 4 being early, I told dem. but dats gonna b e least of my prblms.

Supposedly, e event was cancelled but e PSA folks sent out 10 of thier ppl to "juz show face onli" for e dae. 9:45 n all we get was dead silence. No calls, no nothin'. Called e guardhse to check if dere's any of e PSA visitors. Nothin. WTF.

After dat moment, everyone packed up n left. As 4 me I made my wae to BB to mit up wif yanto n e gang. @ least dey're doin SOMETHIN @ 4th div. gotta hand over my shoes to e guy. kasut dier kene curi kt office. toyol maner tah nk sangat ngan kasut dier. dah kemarut kot??
Turns out nobody wanna go out. (wld b fun watchin simpsons 2gether) Ratz. dere goes my plans.

reached home n all i cld tink of was ZzZZz. e short snooze cost me a 5 hrs. @ least im well rested.

went out to vivo wif e family in e evening (as usual jln2 mcm takde tempat lagik nak pegi)
Managed to catch e NDP preview firewerks display (yaaaY!!) but onli e fraction of e view. damn, y did'nt I make my wae down to esplanade??? cld hav a better view. n camwhor-ing as well!! :D

Funny how I gt picked out frm e crowd to join e "elite" bunch. Did'nt pen down my name either in e 1st place. Next thing y'noe you're an instructor teachin e public e do's n dont's during an emergency.

So far everything is on a smooth pace. Of course, wif ur seniors arnd u tend to 'rilek one corner' and LLW (look, listen, watch) while dey do a one-man show up front. hehez.

Won't be long b4 I run my own show. Solo act somemore. On e plus side, @ least I dun hav to be in camp all e time, wakakaka!!
